Professor Michael Wolf

Michael is Professor of Medicine, Associate Division Chief of Research for General Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a cognitive/behavioural scientist and health services researcher with expertise in adult learning and cognitive factors as applied to medication use and chronic disease management.

 

He has received numerous awards, including a Fulbright Distinguished Faculty Scholar Award to the United Kingdom. Michael has written over 110 peer-reviewed publications, and currently serves on advisory committees for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Brookings Institution, U.S. Pharmacopeia, National Institutes of Health, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

 

He has also provided consultation to the Institute of Medicine, World Health Organization, American College of Physicians Foundation, American Medical Association, American Pharmacists Association, and Centres for Disease Control on health literacy and medication matters. Dr. Wolf currently leads several large-scale grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
